Lauren Lasanta, lcsw  founder/ceo

Lauren LaSanta, LCSW founded Family and Youth Services because of her passion to help youth and families. Lauren is a truly dedicated social worker and therapist and has 18 years of experience working at a large Not for Profit organization. She has helped countless individuals including youth, families, homeless and those suffering from chronic illnesses. Prior to opening Family and Youth Services, she was instrumental in starting and developing a youth drop-in center which offered workshops, crisis shelter and independent living shelters. Under her leadership, services for youth thrived and were continuously expanded to reach more youth and families.

Lauren received her Bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology at Stony Brook University.  She went on to obtain her Master's in Social Work at Rutgers University in 2007 and completed a two year Post Graduate course in Family Therapy at the Multicultural Family Institute under the mentorship of Monica McGoldrick and Nydia Preto.   She sees learning as a lifetime strategy for making the world a better place.  Lauren lives in New Jersey with her husband and two daughters.
